Trip Logistics

  • Will I get sick from the food or water?

The food prepared by our hosts is completely safe. Of course, we cannot ensure that you will not contract a food-borne illness while serving in Uganda. We recommend that you bring over the- counter medicine with you. You may also talk to your physician about a prescription antibiotic.

  • What do the people think about us coming?

Many of the people you will be working with have been waiting for your arrival for months. They are excited and amazed that you would come all the way from America to help empower the work that God is already doing through their lives.

  • Where will I stay?

You will stay in a safe and comfortable team guesthouse at Abaana's Hope. Each day, you will be provided three meals; it is possible that you will also experience a few traditional African meals.

  • What does a Four Corners trip look like?

After arriving in Uganda, you will spend one night in Entebbe. The next morning you will either drive or fly to Gulu, Uganda, the home of Abaana’s Hope. The ministries performed will depend on the skill set of the group. Everything that is done at Abaana’s Hope is relationship focused. The group will perform most days of ministry on site at Abaana’s Hope but may spend a few days working in and around Gulu.
