AKELLO AGNES was born in Kinene in 1993. She was one of thirteen children, eight having died at birth. Her family left their land and went to Paicho Camp when she was too young to recall. They lived there for ten years and returned to their home in 2006. She never was able to attend school as there was no money. She sold wanjeri (small dried fish) to help her family survive. She married and has given birth to four children. One died from malaria and one is now in the womb. Her husband farms their land and she is working to provide money for school fees.
